How I Store My Makeup

I thought it'd be nice to show my way of storing my daily makeup essentials!
We recently got the small hotel-like bathroom next to my room done, so I am moving all of my stuff there. I'm really excited because I kind of have my own bathroom now, haha!

I got this cool makeup container at the local drugstore for about €7
Products I use to make my skin look 'better'. I don't often wear concealer nor foundation nor powder. I don't really like the Clear&Matte Foundation from Essence because it makes my skin oily throughout the day.
If I do wear any kind of coverage it's the BB Cream beauty balm from Essence, with a little bit of the powder to set it.
I don't have anything against foundation or any kind of coverage, it's just that I think my skin looks OK without it, and I feel comfortable with no foundation on as well. So yeah :)

Mascara's and eyeliners that I use the most. The Essence I 'heart' Extreme + Maybelline Stilleto Volume + Catrice Waterproof Top Coat were all gifted to me by my niece! They are great products, I even use the Top Coat to set my eyebrows because I'm too lazy to buy a proper eyebrow kit, oopsie.

Last but not least, these are my current favorite lip products that I use, and on the very right my eye cream and cute Japanese themed tweezer.

I'm telling you, these are my current favorite products, because I couldn't fit all of the products I use in the container!

Revlon | Just Bitten Beloved Lipstain

Hey!

I recently have been asked to do a review on the Revlon Lipstain called 'Beloved'. Since I like to help people out by letting them know my opinion, here's what I have to say about my first ever Revlon Lipstain.

Like I said in my previous post here, I could never find any Revlon products here in Holland, and maybe I didn't search too well, but it took me a long time! I was excited when I saw the store had some Revlon products for a limited time, and because most of the things were gone already, I was only able to pick up a lipstain and nailpolish.

A few days after my purchase, I tried it on. And I noticed that somehow I find it really  funny and a bit difficult to apply the stain with the pen. It seems like it doesnt come off too well or maybe it is just really light on the lips. I was kind of in a rush and pressed it on way too hard, went to school, the lipstain stayed on my lips, but they hurt so much at the end of the day. I think it was just me pressing too hard, because after a few days smearing vaseline on my lips, they recovered and I tried the lipstain again. This time I applied it very gently and as you can see in the photo's above, that's how it turned out.

I like the color a lot, I think it suits my skin tone well. Even though I had some problems with this product, I am not going to throw it away. I actually like it and will be using it more in the future!
Also, the balm that is included with it is amazing! So soft on the lips, I've used it more than the liptain itself haha.

I hope I haven't been too negative, but I am just sharing my opinion and experiences here! I have been completely honest, and you are free to test this lipstain out yourself and see if it works better for you.

Kisses

** I just have to say this very quick, since the store had the products for a limited amount of time, I was wondering if they weren't rejected or slightly out of date. This could bring down the quality and that would explain why I experienced the pen not working properly/the stain being very light on my lips.

Primark Haul and bits of Revlon

Loose Black Tank Top // High-Low Eagle Tee // Light Denim Shorts // Black shoes // Knee High Socks

Flat Studded Backpack
I've been on the hunt for a more 'fashionable' backpack for so long! I get the feeling that I'm going to collect all sorts of backpacks from different stores, whoops.

Summery Dress
I can't believe I actually bought a dress. I normally don't like the dresses Primark has at all, they don't seem to fit right, but this one actually does! It fits me perfectly and even the waist band fits amazing. I'm not a dress person, but this summer I will prove that I am not afraid to show my legs! Here we go with the silly little accomplishments again :)

Revlon Nail Polish 'Grapefruit Fizz' // Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain 'Beloved'
For as far as I know, they don't sell Revlon in Holland, but I might be wrong. Anyway, I haven't been able to find it anywhere.  But today was my lucky day! I saw in a magazine that a store nearby had Revlon makeup for a limited time and went to check it out! Most of it was gone already, and unfortunately the lipstick was nowhere to be found (I wanted to get their lipsticks so bad!) but I managed to pick up these two things.
The nail polish claims to be scented when dry, I will find out sooner or later :)

So that was my little haul for today.
I will try to put an outfit post up soon!
Have a great day~

My Clean Skin Secret: Crunchy Betty Honey Challenge

Honey, you say? Yes, honey!

A little more than a year ago I decided I wanted to put some more energy in my skincare routine. All I was doing was removing my makeup and splash some water on my face. I felt like it wasn't enough, and my skin sure reflected that thought as well. I have never had really bad acne or anything like that, but I did have pimples which, like every other teenage girl, I didn't like.
So one day I decided to google some homemade facemasks and ways to clean my skin better. I stumbled upon CrunchyBetty and found the Wash Your Face With Honey: Take The Crunchy Betty Challenge article. I was already way too late for the challenge, but that didn't matter of course, I could start whenever I liked. So I decided that I would remove my makeup and wash my face after with honey every night, for two weeks, before I went to bed. After the two weeks had passed, I saw such amazing results, that I decided to continue washing my face with honey! I've been doing it ever since, every night, and I'm not planning to stop yet.

Now, let me quote what's on the Honey Challenge page on CrunchyBetty.com, about why you want to wash your face with this liquid gold.

  1. It is antibacterial and antimicrobial. It will get off any lingering nastiness that’s thinking about setting up camp on your face and creating pimples.
  2. It is slightly drying which means it helps soak up any pimples or oiliness.
  3. It is also incredibly moisturizing. Seems like a double standard, doesn’t it? But it’s true. Honey sinks into your skin and moisturizes like you wouldn’t believe. (Remember Cleopatra and her honey baths to look young?)
  4. It imparts all kinds of beneficial enzymes that work at scrubbing your face for you, as well as perform a little anti-aging action.
  5. It’s great for acne, aging skin, normal skin, dry skin … honey loves EVERY SKIN TYPE.
  6. It is healing and helps repair acneic sores and scars.
  7. It’s 100%, absolutely, positively natural, great for your skin, and such a SIMPLE addition to your routine!
Are you convinced yet? I hope so!

Here's how to wash your face with honey. It's very easy :)

What You Need:
Honey - Water - and a towel to pat your face dry

If you don't know what honey to buy/use, click here
And remember to take your makeup off before you wash your face with honey!

  1. Tie your hair back or get it out of your face. (Honey makes hair really sticky.)
  2. Pour 1/2-ish teaspoon of honey into the palm of your hands and rub your hands together for 2-3 seconds, just to warm up the honey.
  3. Place the honey on your face and massage it in for a minute or two – all around, don’t forget an inch of face.
  4. Optional – leave the honey sitting there on your face for 5 or 10 minutes, just so your skin can drink the goodness in.
  5. Rinse a few times with water. You’ll be surprised at how quickly and easily it rinses off!
  6. Bask in the beauty that is your face now.

And that's it!
I hope this'll help people who want to improve their skin by taking better care of it.
If you want to do the challenge you're more than welcome to. Please let me know if you decide to start washing your face with honey, and tell me about your experiences! I'd be very glad to hear.
